I am learning that babies bounce pretty effectively...they are rough and tumble and often pick right on up and keep going...most of the time.
Tuesday I was shopping at Michaels for stuff to make our Christmas cards this year. Madi was in the front of the cart where children belong and Bekah was in the back where children do not belong. I know this because as soon as I put her there a sales associate informed me of this. So, I told the sales associate that we weren't going to be there long and it was better than the damage she would do to the store and that Bekah would be perfectly fine, "we do this all the time," I told her...soooooooooooo...twenty minutes later...Bekah fell out of the cart. Onto her head. She did not bounce, or pick up and keep going or do anything at all really. Mostly she laid there very still and then started SCREAMING...she had huge bruise instantly. We packed up and left and came straight home and to the ER where we found she was not broken only concussed. We are very blessed that it was not worse. She is doing just fine and loved being able to eat popsicles and watch Dumbo all night that night since she was on a clear liquid diet and low levels of stimulation. All in all it ended up ok, but it was not one of those days I'd ever ever like to re-live! Now she tells everyone about "Bekah bumped her head all better!" She'll live!

what a story! Made all the more embarrassing because you had just assured the sales associate that everything would be fine! I'm glad Bekah's ok and that you are too ;) Just think, someday you'll be able to give your perfectly normal Bekah a hard time - "I guess that's why you are the way you are" :)
Anna, I would love to keep in touch through your blog. SO, keep on posting. Enjoy every second with your little ones. They really do grow so fast. I know right now it doesn't seem so. Congrats on you little boy. Weedle is having her little Will right now.
