Date Night and Troublesome Toddlers

So tonight Troy and I snuck away after bedtime to go four wheeler riding! It was FREEZING! It was so much like our early dating days though! It was a lot of fun being out at night just us...reminds you of why you deal with days like this particular one...

Madison just learned to say mom...she's been saying Daddy for like a year now. (not quite that long, but it seems that way) The only downfall to this newest development is that she doesn't say it, she whines it. Troy was laughing tonight so hard while we were cleaning up dinner because she just wanders around mercillously moaning "mama mama mama." The first hour of this was music to my ears...the next three, not so much! We have discovered that after Bekah screamed for the first six months, the next two years have been blissful with her...on the other hand, our peaceful, sleepy, relaxed baby Madison is a TERROR! We laugh constantly at her crazy groaning and shrieking (we don't really laugh at the shrieking, we cringe, but it's still kinda funny). She is such a handful. We call her monkey as she is into everything all the time. She never sits still! Bekah will play in her room for hours quietly...Madi does nothing quietly! We just wondered how these precious babies turned out SO dramatically differently than they started and how to deal with what we are learning are the longest terrible two's in history!!!

Almost one whole year!

So, I found your comment Karey! 19 days! I am not very good at writing on my own blog, since I'm pretty sure no one even reads it...but I am really quite good at snooping through everyone else's! Since the blogging world allows me to live a little outside my little bubble, I thought I'd just share what's going on with us, and maybe someone else will get to live a little too... who knows, here goes...
In the year since that horrible first post...
The girls are all grown up...at least they think so!
We are expecting our first son in April...we can NOT agree on a name! (I think Frogger, Troy thinks Benjamin Ward Polamolu Mast...see the conflict?)
We've moved in with my dad and next door to our wonderful neighbors, The Vaughns!
I got a job, and don't have it any more...( I needed to be on bedrest)
Troy got a promotion with no perks, just more work! We're just grateful for a good job!
We had a fire and now have a new kitchen (and every jar of tomatoes I was canning that night sealed!)
I'm sure eighty five million more mundane things have happened, they just aren't coming to mind right now, making me feel really pathetic since we are SOOO busy...it's not looking that way on paper! I'm going to try and keep this up from now on, the girls say the CUTEST things and I'd love to share them with you also! Thanks for the sanity you've all brought me...here's a peek into our asylum!
